Ways to Avoid a Lock-Out
The best way to deal with a lock-out is to avoid one in the first place, and you can do that by:
- Carrying a spare key. Never leaving your home without a spare key can give you great peace of mind when it comes to being locked out of your car. Just make sure whatever you carry it in doesn’t stay behind in the car.
- Using a magnetic box. If you don’t want to carry around a spare key or you’re worried about losing it, consider getting a magnetic box, which attaches to the outside of your car.
- Getting a digital key. You may be able to connect your smartphone with your car, which will enable you to get a digital key which can be used to unlock your car. It may also allow you to start your car remotely.
