The 2023 Mazda CX-50 carries on that legacy with the most fuel-efficient drivetrain — the base engine — getting an EPA-estimated 24 MPG city and 30 MPG highway. The mileage of the turbocharged powertrain is only slightly reduced: 23 MPG city, 29 MPG highway.
Another benefit of the turbocharged engine option: it increases the towing capacity of the Mazda CX-50 to 3500 lbs.
